FULL DESCRIPTION - GRETSCH G6199 Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbird in Firebird Red. Simply stunning Gretsch G6199 Billy-Bo Jupiter Thunderbird in Classic Firebird Red. A beautiful pre-owned guitar. GRETSCH SAY: "Rock luminaries Billy F Gibbons and Bo Diddley have joined forces to bring you a 21st century version of the elusive Gretsch Jupiter Thunderbird™, now dubbed the "Billy-Bo". Designed in '59 from Bo Diddley's talented hand. The new Gretsch "Billy-Bo" Jupiter Thunderbird will highlight Bo's original futuristic design with Billy's added ingredients for a steaming hot helping of dirty rotten Rock 'N' Roll." She is approaching 10 years old but her overall condition is excellent. The truss-rod cover and all three plastic access plates (rear of the body) still have the plastic protection film on them! There are some marks but they are minimal, mainly small surface marks and swirls in the lacquer. Some small impressions on the rear of the body, but overall this guitar has only had very light home use and the condition supports this (not mint! but very good condition). Wonderfully lightweight guitar with no compromise on tone... clear bell-like clean tones, raunchy when overdriven this guitar is unique and packs some serious tone. RRP is currently around £2,500 so here is an opportunity to make a big saving over buying a new one. Very beautiful high-end unique Gretsch, in excellent condition. A classic instrument based on a vintage design. Also a great investment.
