1960's Fender Coronado ll electric guitar in rare Sonic Blue SN# 303477This could be the Coronado you have been looking for, or it might turn you on to an historic some say underrated Fender guitar. This is considered by some to be the ideal color for a 1960's Coronado, a rare, perfectly yellowed and faded to green Sonic Blue finish. This example was initially purchased and has remained in California.  It screams 60's surf!! The finish, and all parts on this particular example are original. The guitar functions perfectly and the neck shape is exceptional, very much like a Stratocaster from the era. The hollow body tone with the DeArmonds has that classic hollow body articulation, an lots of crisp jangle. It plays effortlessly and rests comfortably on the lap in a sitting position. Original frets The vibrato is responsive and easy to use.  The weight is a very light and dry 4.80 pounds. I did not pull the neck as it did not look like it had ever been removed, so I am not able to pin point the year. Any help on the date based on the appointments or serial number would be appreciated. If that is a critical issue, I and can pull the neck and check the date. Cosmetically it does have a few bumps and bruises, and finish imperfections, nicks etc., but the overall original well earned vintage patina is outstanding. It does have some buckle swirls on the back but they are not through the finish. I would rate this guitar as collector grade, overall very good condition. The case is original and in good condition. I am unable to offer returns on vintage pieces but I describe accurately and pack with extreme care. Check my feedback carefully. I am happy to answer any and all questions prior to purchase.
