Featuring premium hollow body construction the Electromatic Hollow Body has a thick and complex resonant tone that screams classic Gretsch due in part to the 'black top' Filter'Tron pickups which Gretsch's RnD team based on a vintage Baldwin era pickup.When you have a classic, popular model like the 5420 it's hard to improve on what you have. Gretsch have managed it though with a handful of updates. First and foremost there's the treble bleed on the master volume, a new 4 ply binding on the body and a rebound headstock. The G5420T Electromatic Hollow Body is a sharp new Gretsch guitar with a bound single-cutaway hollow body featuring sound-post bracing and elegant bound f holes.
