Description
Brand: Buscarino Body Type: Archtop

A GORGEOUS, one-of-a-kind Buscarino Custom Artisan Hollowbody jazz guitar in Natural Blonde finish.
I'm the original owner of this incredible guitar. It's been kept it in a humidity controlled, non-smoking environment since it was custom made for me by John Buscarino in 1999. I wanted a Virtuoso model with a smaller headstock for a more compact feel and to avoid any neck-heaviness.
The smaller headstock is the only thing differentiating this guitar from the Virtuoso. All the master-grade woods, from the hand-tuned, bear-claw spruce top, the INSANELY flamed select maple, the burl headstock, and the snakehead tuners, are usually reserved for the Virtuoso. Back then, John broke adherence to the models' distinct specs and made me this guitar (which he referred to as an "Artuoso")

I have owned many high-end archtop guitars over the years, and can say without reserve, that the action and workmanship on this guitar is second to NONE. John is a true Master with few peers. It projects like a CANNON acoustically, and sounds very sweet amplified. The ultimate swing/big band guitar. Plays like butta'. The finish has aged to a beautiful petina. The curvature of the arched back adds to it's unparalleled aesthetic. Truly the work of a master luthier.  Because it has been sitting largely unplayed for the last 12 years or so, I must reluctantly sell. I have played it on occasion at home just to keep the sound alive. It recently got a checkup by my expert repair tech, who basically just gave it a 2 thumbs-up.
A new Virtuoso is base priced at $24,000. The Artisan's base price is $9,800 (before upcharges for veneers, master grade woods, etc). As the photos clearly show, this is no regular Artisan. John would definitely charge around $24K to produce this guitar now, assuming he would combine these custom specs for you. It is a unique, a one-of-a-kind instrument. A great player, and a good investment.

So sad about letting it go, but I'm in need of cash right now.Original Hardshell case included. Sturdy, and plush- MINT condition. Ships to the Continental U.S. within 48 hours of payment confirmation. For sale locally. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
