Up for auction is a stunning 1956-1957 original Magnatone electric guitar in great condition! The guitar is complete with its original knobs,all parts and pieces and has its original, beautifully aged wooden patina. Serial Number 52850 dates this guitar to the 1956-1957 period. There are a few small nicks and dents on the guitar body as can be expected for a 60+ year old guitar (please see photos) however these do not detract from the quality of sound and usability of this guitar- it is fully functional and ready to play! Overall, the guitar looks beautiful on display and plays just as beautifully, with a unique and high quality sound. The guitar comes with an original 1950's era case (with a bakelight handle) that the guitar fits perfectly into, and although I believe the original case was square this may also have come with the guitar. The condition of the case is good for its age, and is still perfectly strong and usable! This guitar has just had new strings installed and been professionally cleaned and inspected- it's great to play and sounds amazing! This specific Magnatone model was designed by Paul Bigsby (the pioneer of the solid body electric guitar), and is the first generation of this specific guitar model.There is another very similar Magnatone currently offered on ebay for $4500 USD ($6000 Canadian), I am offering this starting at $9.99 with No Reserve!
