What makes this guitar special: There is no better option for getting the sound, vibe, and aesthetic qualities of an original 1962 Telecaster than this Fender Custom Shop Relic in Blue Sparkle. The first thing you'll notice about the guitar is its astonishing blue sparkle finish and striking relic’d qualities. Aged to perfection and sporting plenty of natural-looking wear with chips, scratches, and scuffs, this Telecaster looks like it came right out of 1962, all while playing like the brand new instrument that it is. Its double-bound alder body features a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and is lightweight at only 7 lbs. 9 ounces. Sonically, this Tele is powered by two single-coil 1963 Telecaster pickups with modern wiring, allowing you to get that classic Tele twang that has graced countless records since its inception. A familiar mid '60s "C" neck profile and 9.5" radius fingerboard make it easy to handle for any player, while also staying true to original specs. Top it all off with vintage-style hardware, and you have a Tele that truly evokes the feel and look of a 1962 original.Cosmetic condition: Excellent overall condition with very light play wear.Body: Double-Bound Lightweight Alder body with nitrocellulose lacquer finish in blue sparkle finish with heavy relic.Weight: 7 lbs. 10 ounces.Neck: Quartersawn maple neck with mid '60s oval "C" profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius, 21 narrow jumbo frets, and 1.650" nut width.Electronics: Two Custom Shop Handwound '63 Single Coil Tele pickups with Master Volume and Master Tone controls, and 3-position blade switching.Case: Original hard shell case.
