Neck Plate Serial Number estimate says 1971 or 1972 - This Telecaster was routed for an original Fender Humbucker at some point and refinished according to the seller. The original neck logo was stripped and the current logo was reapplied - the original tuners were replaced and they are in the case as is the the three-way switch. When I bought this guitar on eBay 15 years ago the seller said they could not verify that any of the parts were original, but that it played great. It does play and sound great - recently professionally set-up. A question was asked about any writing on the neck where it attaches to the body so I took it apart and added pictures. No writing was found. The neck skunk stripe, the string clips, the back string holes, the plate serial number all indicate 1971 but I bought this off eBay and there is no proof! Too bad - it would be worth more!
