Up for auction is a beautiful Lawsuit 2455 archtop guitar. The 2455 was Ibanez's take on the Gibson L-4 CES. 16" body, Gold Hardware, 1975 dated pickups, Bound Tortoiseshell pickguard, Star back tuners, Spruce Top and flamed Maple back and sides. This is an early pre-serial number example with the desirable open book Gibson headstock design. This is right before Gibson forced Ibanez to forgo the open book headstock for trademark reasons. The guitar appears to have been refretted and newer gold pickup covers. One extra hole on the back of the body from a moved strap button. A very attractive and great sounding guitar that comes with its original hardshell case. An overall excellent condition vintage guitar displaying some small nicks and a couple finish checking lines.
