Vintage Pollina Accordion 41 key, 120 button Super Pearlescent ivory Finish, with Orig Hard Shell Case/ key This is a Really Beautiful light weight, Superior quality. Tested and works , Please check description... This accordion is marked " IRENE W", the name of the previous owner, who received it from her husband while he was deployed to Greenland during WW II. It was used when purchased by him, in the early 1940's from a music store in Rome, NY, which most likely dates it a 1930's piece. This certainly agrees with the amazing Art Deco detailing !!
I'm not an expert at all, but this seems to be in super shape. Bellows are intact and in great shape. I played it a little - very carefully of course- and it seems to work well. It is in extremely good cosmetic condition for a piece of its age and type, with the exception of a little bit of dust and light wear to the leather straps where they connect to the accordion. It has been stored in its case for years. The buttons all seem to work and keys seem to function, although due to the fact that it hasn't been used in quite a while, some of the keys stick a little. If you are going to use it, you will probably want to get it checked out by a pro. Case is in great shape too, all latches work. A little dusty and some light scuffs due to normal use. I'll be including accordion lesson books along with the instrument so if you are buying this for a beginner, you'll be pretty much set :-). This is sold as is, with no warranty and no returns so please ask any questions or request more photos before you buy.
