This is one incredible guitar. It has a pro set up with new 9/42 strings and plays as easy as any guitar you will find even at twice the price of this one. It is in mint condition and has mostly stayed in the Fender flight case. Now for the REALLY good stuff. The Pickups are all Dimarzio pro level and electronics are all absolute top quality. The Bridge pickup which can be split with the push pull volume control is the highly revered and raved about 36th anniversary PAF Alnico V. The middle is a Virtual Vintage Pro 54 and is hum cancelling and can be split with the bottom push pull tone control. The neck is the paul Gilbert Injector which full on to me sounds a bit like a vintage paf humbucker but it as well splits with the bottom tone control for a spanky single coil neck tone. You can get so many different and incredible tones out of this guitar it is simply hard to believe but true.
I know the trem bar shown in the original parts bag that came with the guitar is white but I have a black one that will be going with the guitar to match the knobs and pickups. Whoever ends up with this guitar will be super happy and content. I just simply need the money right now as I am out of work with low back disc problems. Added up this guitar with all upgrades cost total was nearly 1500.00 with tax and everything. It is 99.99% just like new right now so the new owner will have one incredible guitar for several hundred less than what it originally cost. Again this is one beautiful and awesome guitar and case. Thanks for looking and look at my feedback and you will see I am AAA rated and honest and dependable. FREE Shipping for the lower 48 states USAFrom the Dimarzio website
The DiMarzio PAF DP103 humbucker pickup has a smooth, almost voice-like quality and that intangible swell to the notes after attack. It possesses vintage output and breathes freely with an open, warm character. Played flat-out through a non-master volume tube amp, the 36th anniversary PAF recreates the deep character of the great plug-in, turn-up and wail school of tone. Modern potting techniques and tight, consistent winding eliminates squeal and microphonics common to the original guitar pickups. The Virtual Vintage 1954 Pro pickup uses the same ground breaking technology as the Area 58 and Area 61 pickups. The 54 Pro replaces the Virtual Vintage 54 and Virtual 2 middle pickups. It has a warm, smoky sound, fattens up when you pick hard, and has a special grade of Alnico 2 magnet to reduce string pull. And like all of the Virtual Vintage models, it's dead quiet. The Paul Gilbert Injector Neck Model has a modern rather than a vintage sound. The DP422 is warmer and louder (160mV output) than a typical vintage single-coil - and of course it's hum-canceling. It's also faster. The Injector Neck Model tracks high-speed solos at high gain without becoming either thin or muddy, and has a very full, well-balanced, clean sound. It has about 40% less magnet-pull than standard single-coils, and this is essential for the superior speed and dynamic range with which this pickup responds to pick attack.
