I've been asked on several occasions to install my bender in a Stratocaster. Until now, however, Matney custom benders have only been installed in Telecaster style guitars. We are now proud to announce our new Strat/Tele hybrid design. This one is for all you Strat players who have always wanted a B Bender but didn't want to trade in your Strat for a Tele. It's a luthier built Strat/Tele hybrid body. Essentially it's a hardtail Strat with a Tele style upper bout to accommodate the bender. Now you can have the Strat tone you love, and have an awesome B Bender too! Up for bidding is a luthier built Strat / Tele Hybrid body with a Matney USA Custom B Bender Installed. It comes with a genuine USA Fender neck and a new Fender tweed hard shell case. The body is two piece poplar... finished in "Sonic Blue" Nitrocellulose lacquer and nitro clear coat. It comes equipped with a Patent Pending Matney USA Custom B Bender installed. The finish has a few imperfections here and there (the thin skin nitro shows the grain and any imperfections in the wood). The body and bender were both Made in USA. The neck and electronics are from a Made in USA "American Special" Strat. The neck is a genuine Fender "American Special" neck with Fender locking tuners. This guitar also has the original Fender "American Special" pickguard and electronics featuring the "grease bucket" tone circuit. The pickups are "Texas Special" single coils and Fender's "Atomic Humbucker". Comes with Schaller strap lock buttons (locks not included) and a modern six saddle Fender Telecaster bridge that has been cut in half for this application. Matney Benders are quickly growing in popularity and reputation. Currently there are around 130 Matney Benders in circulation from California to Texas to Florida... and every one is a satisfied customer! Matney benders are built to last forever.
