This listing is for ... 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard * USA Electric Guitar Stunning "Tobacco Burst" Finish on Solid Mahogany Body & Neck Original, Unmodified, and Genuine "Made in USA" * Great Investment Potential ... Excellent Used Condition * Original Gibson Hard Case * FREE Next-Day UK Delivery This one's a gorgeous 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard USA electric guitar - the guitar is highly collectable & a great example of a premium Gibson USA model - the guitar build quality & components are top class & of course the sound is just fabulous - I bought this guitar direct from the original owner, another collector/player. Of particular note is the stunning Tobacco Burst gloss finish on Mahogany Body & Neck showing very distinctive wood grain - lovely dark rosewood fretboard & comfortable medium-profile neck - original covered humbucker pickups, controls, bridge, tuners, etc - fabulous attention to detail & build quality. By now you will know that prices for high-end pre-2000 Gibson guitars have continued to rise sharply - I think this guitar offers excellent value with great investment potential - I'm always deluged with enquiries whenever I list a particularly nice guitar - please let me know quick if this is the one you want. Condition :- "Excellent used" - the guitar is 20 years old & has been played & shows some small marks, but mostly just stored away recently - please note the lacquer checking to the front of the headstock, quite common on older Gibsons due to shrinkage of nitro lacquer - no breaks & no repairs - I do think the guitar looks & sounds fabulous - it's also very clean & has been well loved - I think the colour & overall look is well represented in the photos - everything works as it should, there are no issues. The guitar plays very smoothly, it's nicely set up with brand new D'Addario XL 10's & ready to play - the guitar is well-balanced, and is a good weight at about 9.4 lbs. If you're looking for a collectable pre-2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard USA, for playing, display or investment, and at a sensible price, this could be the one for you - I think the overall look & immense sound make this particular guitar a very special & desirable instrument - the guitar is exactly as seen in the photos, and I would welcome any questions or inspection.
