What makes this bass special: Made for only a very short period of time in the early '80s, this gorgeous Jazz Bass features gold finish & all gold hardware. The neck is smooth & very comfortable to play, and the pickups provide that classic punch we all love. Professionally set up by our luthier, so she's ready to play straight out of the case.Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & finish wear, particularly on the top of the body where the player's arm would rest - the "greening" effect from the worn gold finish is quite prevalent. There's also a spot showing quite a bit of wear between the pickups, most likely where the previous owner rested his thumb. Overall the bass has a cool, vintage look to it with a gorgeous patina.Neck: Slender profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with very little wear & plenty of life in them. Headstock decals are very clean & gold Fender tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning. Neck dates to '82.Body: Contoured, solid ash body in original gold finish. Top-loading brass bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. 3-ply white pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Bass weighs 11.25 lbs.Pickups: Original Jazz Bass single coils with white covers. Dual volume & master tone controls with white skirted knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.Case: Original tweed hardshell case included.
