Kay Vanguard K327 (1965) with Gold Foil Pickups & Original Case This is a superb example of a K327 Kay Vanguard. It has those all-important twin gold-foil pickups. The switches and knobs are original and it comes in an original Kay case. It plays very well. The action is low, with more room to adjust lower. It doesn’t need it though. It also has a truss rod. The 6-inline tuners are original and they have the correct original oval tuner buttons. The back of the neck is lovely and smooth. The Rosewood fingerboard has beautiful Mother-of-Pearl inlays and the fingerboard is in very good condition. The original pick guard has a crack in it (shown in the images). There are some very minor scratches on the front. The back of the Alder body is in very good condition, with moderate play wear on the edges. Overall, this is a lovely guitar for a collector, and a player. It’s nice and light, at about 2.8kg too.
