DescriptionThis is a great looking, factory 2009 USA Gibson Studio that has been upgraded to look like a 50s or 60s Les Paul, right down to the correct Goldtop Nitro finish.  The original Goldtop powder as first used by Gibson in 1952 for the Les Paul model was actually a fine bronze powder. Bronze powder, as opposed to a mica powder, will show a slight green iridescence as do original Les Pauls they are when viewed at an angle.  You can see that hint of green in the second picture.  The top was professionally finished in Goldtop Nitro and then given a Relic treatment to look vintage.  But unlike a vintage Goldtop, you won't have to sell your car.The guitar is extremely versatile thanks to the Duncan Hotrodded Humbuckers and the Triple Shot mounting rings.  The Triple Shot allow you to split the coils, go series and parallel, all with the switch that's part of the pickup ring.  You can get single coil tones from these pickups without push-pull pots.  All the work was professionally done by the guitar tech who owned the guitar before me.  It's as good a factory.The frets are in fantastic shape and have very little wear, and the neck is straight and true and the back of the neck is smooth, not sticky or tacky.It's everything you'd expect from a USA made Gibson Les Paul.  It's a stellar guitar, and a great player.  There are no issues or breaks.  It's a professional grade guitar that just needs a new home.  It comes with the Road Runner case shown.
