Here is an early Gibson Les Paul Recording for sale.
A rare guitar, I am the third owner of this guitar and all of the damage I was told was by the original owner...I had a local luthier re-wire the guitar and his diagnosis was that all of the electronics are original and do work (tested) (see pic) (screws holding in the electronics are all different- so I would say not all are original)
one of the pots says 70-983 dating from the pot 1970 from my research (I do have more close up shots of the pots - send msg and I can attach a few more pics) unfortunately the serial # was removed by whatever red paint was put on the back of the headstock (see pic), but this seems to be an earlier model due to the actual writing of "Les Paul Recording" on the back vs an engraved serial #.....The hard case it comes with is not original, it is ESP brand....this guitar is very heavy and bigger than an average newer Les Paul - it does not fit average Gibson Les Paul cases (I tried) or even Les Paul knock off cases.....this was the best fit I could find The pickguard is original and included with the metal piece that it fits on, however it is missing the screw that binds it together, I didnt mind much as I liked the look of it with out the pickguard, but if you have that screw and nut handy you are all set! A few nicks and scratches here and there, but overall the guitar is in very good shape, play well and has a big sound with the low impedance pickups - all knobs are in working order! it was rewired with the original schematic from Gibson (they emailed it to me)
