Maple Cap Neck is original custom order it is a maple fret board on top of maple neck - two pieces. Neck is factory stamped 2 Jun 62 B. 1957 Gold Hardware - neck plate Serial # 16285 from 1957. Which is first year for Mary Kay Stratocaster with Gold Hardware. All Gold plated hardware including: Single line gold Kluson tuners as from 1957, neck plate, tremolo, Fender patent pend saddles, screws and springs, jack cup, all screws, string tree and strap buttons. 3/63 Original pencil dated Body – pickguard, shield, knobs, covers, pots, pickups and switch with 3 matched 1963 original pots, 3046315 date codes. Original staggered pole pickups, black bobbins with cloth wire. Original 3 way switch and cap. Ground wire solder joint on volume pot re-solder. All the contours on body are original, no extra routes. Newer tremolo arm and at very end of neck a tiny crack that stops at fret – not going nowhere. A custom order 63 – 64 maple cap fretboard Fender with custom color was featured in an article in Vintage Guitar Magazine in 1997 December Pg. 45.

This Fender Stratocaster, was custom ordered in 1963 with maple neck, gold hardware in custom color.   The body was refinished over 20+ years ago in nitrocellulose lacquer, High E tuner has been clipped or replaced with single line gold kluson matching tuner. Neck is pro refret and oversprayed and retains original fender logo. One pot shaft spline has been repaired, all pots have matching date codes and are original to guitar.     Comes with correct '63 brown tolex fender case.
