This guitar literally beats guitars 3x the price. When I was looking for a tele I was looking for an American standard or custom shop model and played about 10 different guitars in my search until I heard the relatively cheap Baja model and it blew my mind! It sounded better than any of the American standards I played, better than all the vintage reissues I played and nearly as good as the best custom shop model I played. This is mostly down to the custom shop designed pickups which have the perfect amount of bite and twang in the bridge without being brittle and the sweetest woody tone in the neck which no other guitar can replicate (tele neck pickups are my favourite single coil sound). The pickup configuration allows the usual standard 3 tele positions and also a humbucking mode and 2 out of phase modes for some really varied tones. I strongly encourage trying it for yourself and comparing with more expensive models! OK, so it's not got as good tuners as a custom shop model or a fancy top, but if you wanted to upgrade the tuners that's always a possibility - I never had an issue myself. This guitar also has one of the best necks I've ever felt on a guitar, it may be an acquired taste as it's quite chunky, but it inspires a certain way of playing. As a bonus it's in the best colour: blonde! (Your opinion may differ but there's something very cool and classic about a blonde on black tele) I'm mainly a humbucker guy and my current situation forces me to sell some of my guitars and gear, so for me personally I have to keep my les paul but if I ever want a tele again when funds allow I won't even be considering a more expensive model! Oh yes and as for the condition it's basically unmarked, the neck is straight as an arrow and it's all perfect and ready to play. Unfortunately I don't have a case I can give away with it.
