This flugelhorn is less than 2 years old. Bought it new in person from their store in Calif after trying many others. In my view, as a new horn, could not beat it at the price point. There is not a flaw or blemish on it and it is only used occasionally (probably less than 20 hours total) and has never been out of my home studio. My main horn is trumpet. Pictures are not Photoshopped or altered. Beautiful matte lacquer finish in two-tone brass. 3rd valve trigger; original case which is also like new. Stock mouthpiece, Monel valves, 2 sets of bottom valve caps...normal and deep. New water key corks installed.
This horn is easy to tune and stays in tune vs other flugels I've experienced. FWIW, leadpipe receiver only needs to extend out about 1.5" to put it in tune."I was sceptical until I played a few. The owner is very involved and won't hesitate to converse directly with customers. The horns play at a quality level at least a price level higher. I'm just one very satisfied customer. Everyone who's spoken with me after I've performed with one of the AMI horns has commented on how great it sounds, other players usually want a toot on it, too..."Thoroughly cleaned, and during normal play, does not trap water as some flugels do.Plays beautifully, solid and quiet valve action, strong compression, and a relatively light horn. Would consider this at least an intermediate level flugel that has many years of service left.I have two slightly different Andalusia's so selling this one.FREE ship to the CONUS.
