You are looking at a super rare PRE-CBS ONE OWNER 1956 Stratocaster with Tremolo and Original Tweed Hard Case. All main components are original and it is in great condition compared to others I have seen from this era. I have already contacted a few people in the industry to help get a reasonable value, but I figured eBay would be a great place to start marketing it as well. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will answer to the best of my ability and/or ask my good friend who is the original owner. On Nov-09-16 at 13:29:02 PST, seller added the following information:UPDATE: I have had some questions about the history of this guitar, so here I called the owner to get a little more information. He purchased the guitar brand new for around $385 (which was an awful lot of money back then) from a music/piano store in downtown Little Rock called "Collioni and Rossen" (spelling?). He even has the original receipt somewhere and is looking for it. He played "Big Band" music all across the country in the 50s-60s and said he would play the night before or after musicians like Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, and even Elvis. He is a very modest man, but it sounds like he was in a pretty popular band. He got other guitars (including the 1981 Les Paul in my other auction) and parked the Strat for many years. The guitar has spent most of the past couple decades in a safe room in the hopes that one of his kids or grandkids would develop an interest in music, but none of them have. He decided its time to let it go to a person that would love it and appreciate it as much as he did. I hope this little bit of history helps as I know its appreciated by those that appreciate this special guitar.
