New Kings Road Guitars, Europe's Premier Vintage Guitar Emporium are delighted to be able to offer for sale this 1996 FENDER JAZZ REISSUE AVRI STACK KNOB.
An 1996 Corona made Stack knob Reissue Jazz bass in Lake Placid Blue. Shows some areas of wear consistent with use over its history. Really nice playing bass with the narrow 1.5 inch neck width that make these Jazz basses so easy to play.
Comes with original case.

Up for sale, a 1989 Fender '62 American Vintage Reissue Jazz Bass in excellent condition, with an extremely rare Ocean Turquoise finish! Produced in the early days of Fender's Corona, CA factory, this Jazz Bass is a faithful reissue of the most collectable and desirable Jazz Basses of the early 1960s, complete with the "stack knob" control configuration, providing the player with individual Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup. This bass sports one of the rarest custom colors used by Fender, and the Ocean Turquoise metallic finish is a deep blueish green shade of nitro lacquer with a clear coat that has also yellowed slightly over the decades, giving the instrument an even more authentic vintage appearance. Tonally, the bass gives you that classic bridge pickup growl and bite with plenty of warmth and low end fullness to balance out the clarity and cut. Roll down the tone control on the neck pickup for smooth, round notes that sustain well and the bass stays present in the mix without crowding out any of the higher frequencies in ensemble situations. The bridge pickup, in contrast, can be sinewy and snappy and the midrange presence accentuates the tone of the 45-105 roundwound strings currently on the bass. Weighing in at 10lbs 2oz, the bass sustains well and has a strong acoustic presence thanks to the weight, while still feeling well balanced and manageable on a strap for longer gigs and sessions. The neck has Fender's signature slim Jazz Bass profile, with a 1 1/2" nut width and a nice slender C shape profile that gets deeper and rounder in the higher registers of the fretboard. The one-piece maple neck has a deep amber tint to the profile and headstock, and the rosewood slab fretboard has simulated clay dot inlay to match factory specs for 1962! The bass has been refretted with jumbo fretwire, and the fret ends have been rounded and smoothed over for a comfortable playing experience. The frets show virtually no wear, with big, well rounded crowns and no buzzing or dead spots anywhere on the neck. The headstock sports a set of vintage style nickel tuning machines with reverse gears and clover buttons, just like the originals. All of the electronics work as they should, and the bass comes complete with the original chrome bridge and pickup covers, in addition to the stock finger rest. Cosmetically, this bass shows some honest use, with pick wear in the pick path on the face of the instrument, along with buckle rash on the back in the clear coat, and some small nicks and dings around the edges of the body, with one prominent mark through the finish, central to the back of the body. There is some fairly prominent lacquer checking on the back of the neck, along with a few small nicks through the amber clear coat on the profile behind frets 1-2. The edges of the headstock also show a few small battlescars, as it appears a previous owner stood quite close to a cymbal or two while playing. Overall, this is a beautiful and extremely rare custom color example of a '62 Fender American Vintage Jazz Bass. The instrument shows no serious or structural wear, and the tone is nuanced and versatile, perfect for a wide variety of genres. - See more at: https://www.gbase.com/gear/fender-62-jazz-bass-american-vi-1989-reissue#sthash.1SOgpS90.dpuf
