Kay VanguardThis is a beautiful example of the sixties Kay Vanguard, made in the USA.Its finished in a dark red with black edging to the body and with a white scratchplateand it looks superb.There are two chromed goldfoil pickups - very sought after for their great bluessound - each with volume and tone controls plus a three-way pickup selector switch.The bridge is chromed and adjustable and the tailpiece is a chrome covered model - all the chromework is in an excellent condition.The neck is bolted on with three large inset screws and the rosewood fingerboardhas nineteen frets with heart shaped fret markers, and the nicely shaped headstockhas the "Kay" name and logo, truss rod cover and original six on a side tuners.I have owned a few Vanguards over the years but this is certainly the best oneI have owned or played - in a great condition showing only very few tiny marksand a hairline crack in the scratchplate - it is all original and comes in itsoriginal case. Great blues guitar.
