Up for auction is my Ovation Deacon 12-String Electric in Sunburst Brown.  I'm the original owner, purchased in mid 1978 in Atlanta, GA while in college - serial number E7560.  Played very little over the years with the last 20 or so stored in the case until just recently - the detailed neck pictures tell the story.  I have decided to sell my electric instruments and gear collected all this time so there are (or soon will be) other auctions that may be of interest. All the attached pictures were shot in natural light except the one with the paperwork with the resolution downsized for the eBay system - if you'd like the full resolution images or are interested in any other details whatsoever please contact me through the eBay system. It's in excellent condition as shown in the pictures with a ding on the back towards the bottom and a minor blemish on the back of the neck - those are circled in red in the pictures.  The rest of the hardware has the 38 year patina as you would expect. Added fresh 9V batteries and all the amplifier functions (high tech at the time) are as new.  Also included is the brown hard shell case which is also in great shape, there are a few paint marks that could be removed but I have left the case and guitar with their patina - has the original manuals and the key, see the last picture.  Always stored inside in a conditioned space. I didn't detail it at all other than wiping it down and conditioning the fret board with a drop of mineral oil in between each fret, worked in by hand, and thoroughly wiped off after about 10 minutes (did that every three or four years all along as needed for all my instruments) and then the pictures. For shipping it will be in the case in a 45x18x6 heavy duty guitar box - about 20# - local pickup is fine and preferred as well - its in Chantilly, Virginia.  The auction should calculate the shipping cost for wherever you are.  Sorry but no returns for this so be sure to satisfy yourself before bidding and ask as many questions as you like. A cherry red 12-string sold here in September for $1900 with the much more easy to find 6-string versions around $1500 in this condition.  So its $1750 for Buy It Now - certainly a lot less than the overpriced listings from Japan...
