HERE GOES ANOTHER CLASSIC! Up for sale is my gorgeously glossy 2015 Daphne Blue Classic 50s Stratocaster with a stunning looking vintage-tinted shimmering and sleek maple neck.  Only reason for selling is that I‘m drastically cutting down my gear due to a reduction of my live/studio engagements. Please consider the below description along with all the attached pics which form the all-important visual part of this listing. This Strat - being the last one I bought - is in near mint condition - i.e. not a speck on it.  As a still current model there is a whole bunch of info that can be found on the internet on it so I won’t bore you with all the technical details. To this very guitar’s credit I will add that it was a pleasure to lay my hands on it and having played a whole bunch of Strats over the years this feels sort of special with its very playable and soft V-profile neck and vintage 7.25” fretboard radius – a really beautiful and ‘intimate’ feel :) While the feel of the guitar is outstanding the sound was a little too ‘thin’ for my liking due to the factory installation of what Fender calls Vintage Style single coil pickups (I’ve not been a fan of the factory installed pickups on MIM guitars including Teles).  Thinking at the time I would be using this guitar quite a bit going forward I took the liberty to have a matched set of Tonerider Pure Vintage pickups installed by a local guitar tech.  I find these are a ‘rounder’ sort of pickup with nice middles and no shrill thinness to the sound in any position.  In any case, it would not be a big job to revert back to the guitar’s original specs as the OEM set of MIM Fender pickups will be included with this sale at no extra cost. This baby comes with its own nicely padded Fender gig bag (with original tag still attached) which is also in pristine condition and other bits and pieces (tremolo arm, still current warranty card as the guitar was purchased in January this year). I am happy to consider offers in keeping with this guitar’s condition and its outstanding value.  These Classic 50s don’t seem to be out there in large numbers in Australia so pristine pre-loved examples are not that easy to come by, especially at this price AND with a choice of pickups thrown in at no extra cost.  If you have done your research you’ll know this to be true. The RRP on these is currently $2199 while good street prices hover between $1580 and $1760, so at this price you will be getting a virtually 'as new' guitar for 25% less (!) than the best ever street price. In view of all this, I will not bother to reply to disrespectful offers. For serious buyers a copy of my own purchase docs (minus confidential details) can be provided to demonstrate the guitar's genuine provenance.  Thank you for looking.  Please message me with any questions and I’ll do my best to reply as quickly as I can. Please check out my other items as I have more ‘gems’ that are just hanging out to find a new loving home… THE FINE PRINT:
Potential buyers with under 10 positive feedback to contact me before hitting the ‘Buy it Now’ or ‘Make an Offer’ button. I will get in touch with the buyer as soon as practical after purchase.  Payment to be made within 3 days of purchase.  Please ensure your PayPal address is accurate and current as that is the only address I will be shipping the guitar to.  Shipping will occur within 2 working days of funds clearing in my PayPal account.  The guitar will be properly packed in its gig bag (strings will be slackened slightly to ease pressure on the neck in transit). The gig bag will then be most likely placed in a proper guitar shipping carton and any possible movement inside the carton will be taken up by filling gaps with appropriate materials. I will be using Australia Post to deliver your package. I have used them before and they have been fast, trackable, insurable and trustworthy in their handling and delivery of goods. Should the buyer wish to engage an alternative freight carrier to take care of the package, please let me know so that we can discuss the process going forward, bearing in mind that in that case the buyer becomes responsible for full payment of associated freight costs and for making all shipping arrangements including contacting the carrier and collection of the package by the carrier from my place.SORRY, NO LOCAL PICKUP.
