1996 Fender Japan '62 Reissue Stratocaster 3 tone sunburst & hard case One owner. Me!The 90's Japanese Strats were very well made and this one has a lovely rosewood neck and a great general feel to it.I can honestly say that this feels better than the USA Strats that I have owned which is why I have kept it for 20 years. I have recently moved to a much smaller house and have too many guitars (3 Les Pauls, 4 Strat's, a Telecaster and then there are the acoustics...).The guitar has been well looked after has been upgraded with a set of Fender Tex Mex pickups which sound great. I have them on all my Strats. The electrics (pots, capacitor, 5 way switch and jack socket) have also been professionally upgraded (see picture). Body: Basswood. 3 tone Sunburst finish Neck: Maple with 21 fret rosewood fingerboard. Original Fender spaghetti logo. Width at 1st fret 43mm Width at 12th fret 52mm Scale Length 25.5" Vintage tremolo bridge Fender stamped vintage style saddles 3 x Fender Tex Mex pickups Original 3 ply parchment white pickguard 5 way switch Black tolex hard case There are a few very minor indentations on the front edge by the jack socket (see picture). They are barely noticeable and only when held to the light, but should be mentioned. Made in Japan. "V" Serial number on rear, base of neck, denotes manufacture in 1996. This guitar has the '50th Anniversary' sticker on the rear of the headstock (see picture). This is a high quality reissue of a '62 Strat from Fender Japan and is sold with the added bonuses of Fender 'Tex Mex' pickups & hard case.
