First things first, just look at this one.  It is perfectly book-matched! Not to mention the spectacular figuring on the neck/fretboard.  A particularly glorious expression of an already glorious model.
I am the 2nd owner of this fine instrument and it has been very well maintained over the last 16 years that is has existed. It does have 2 minor cracks in the finish that do not penetrate the wood at all, near the lower corner under the electronic control plate. I've tried my best to capture these flaws in the 8th picture but they are difficult to see.  Overall, in excellent condition. More importantly, this is a beautiful sounding guitar and plays like dream. It was near perfect when I received it but I then had it set up by the legendary Dave Neely, here in Los Angeles and ever since then, it has been easily among the finest electric guitars I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Puts most Fender Custom Shop guitars to absolute shame.  Currently set up for 10-52 strings in standard A440 tuning but I regularly play it in open G and the intonation somehow stays true.  Honestly hard for me to let this one go but I'm having a new one made for me and have to offset the cost somehow. As with all ASAT Bluesboys, this guitar features the amazing stock pickup combination of a G&L MFD single coil in the bridge position, along with a Seymour Duncan Seth Lover PAF humbucker in the neck position.  This pickup combo allows for two VERY different tonal ranges when independently selected. It goes from cutting, snappy, aggressive bite in the bridge to absolute, velvety smooth, hot melted butter in the neck position. HOWEVER, the real magic with the Bluesboy lies in the center, combined selection. With both pickups engaged it creates one of the most well balanced, soulful guitar tones ever heard. I don't think there has been a more magical stock tone ever achieved from an electric guitar. It's like the perfect marriage of classic Fender and Gibson tones rolled into a whole new sonic direction. Simultaneously modern and vintage all at once. If you haven't heard a Bluesboy in action using the combined pickups, I highly encourage to to check out some demonstrations on youtube.  It simply doesn't get much better.Included with the guitar is a Fender tolex hardshell case (not sure what happened to the OHSC) and a Fender strap mounted with the other part of the Dunlop strap locks currently fitted on the ASAT. Other features include 6 brass saddles and genuine bone nut. Weighs in at 8.25 lbs on a commercial shipping scale.
Will be detuned, bubble wrapped, cased, case bubble wrapped and case tightly sealed in a heavy duty shipping carton upon departure. Local pick up is also welcome. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions at all.
