– single cutaway Les Paul-style one-piece mahogany/maple body (mahogany body with a maple top, 1968-69, 1977-present) or three-piece mahogany/maple “pancake” body (one thin maple layer sandwiched by two large layers of mahogany and a maple top, 1969-1977), seven-ply top binding, set three-piece neck, 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, multi-bound headstock with pearl/diamond split inlays, three-per-side tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, stop tailpiece, two or three covered humbucker pickups, four knobs (two v, two tone), three-way pickup switch, gold hardware, available in Alpine White (1987-present), Cherry (1971-1975), Cherry Sunburst (1971-1990), Ebony (1968-1990, 1995-present), Ferrari Red (1986-1987), Heritage Cherry Sunburst (1996-98, 2003-present), Honeyburst (1990, 1996-98), Natural (1975-early 1980s), Pewter (1986-1987), Silverburst (1979-1982, 2004-present), Tobacco Sunburst (1972-early 1980s), Vintage Sunburst (1987-1990), Walnut (1977-78), White (1975-1986), or Wine Red (1976-present) finish, 24.75 in. scale, mfg. 1968-present.I say:Considering that this is 28 years old, it’s in superb condition.The headstock is free of any knocks or bangs, the rear of the neck, ebony fingerboard and frets only show the most minor signs of wear.The three piece maple cap has a glorious Vintage Sunburst finish with no marks in the lacquer, and the maple has some very pleasant markings that give it that wonderful 3D sheen.The rear of the guitar has very few marks, and certainly none of significance. there is one unusual mark in the cutaway – an almost perfect circular scratch – I’ve no idea how you’d do this, but it’s there – see the pictures.The cream outer binding is showing some signs of ageing and has a few partial cracks.The Bill Lawrence “Original” pickups are just fantastic – I’ve had a few of these over the years, and it’s always a pleasant surprise when I find a guitar with these.. All electronics are fully functional and crackle free.The gold hardware does show typical wear where the palm rests on the tailpiece, and the pickup covers. I accept Paypal (preferred), personal cheque , cash on collection and direct bank transfer. Payment must be arranged within 3 days of the agreement to purchase, otherwise the item will be relisted and negative feedback will be left free of charge. Money must clear into my account prior to collection/despatch. The items will be despatched via Royal Mail for small items and UPS for larger items, insured where appropriate, usually within 24 hours of receipt of funds. I'm doing this to raise money to support AIDS orphans in Africa, and 10% of any money I make automatically goes to these children (see for more information).
