1958 Vintage Fender tweed Champ guitar amplifier SN# C007434Wow!!!! This is really a good one. The chassis and components on this one are dead stock original and look very close to new. The two prong electrical cord was professionally swapped out for a much safer three prong grounded style. The date stamp on the cabinet sticker and chassis is HF. or a production date of July of 1958. That was a wonderful time to be at the Fender factory in Fullerton California, and this little amp witnessed it all. The amp took some damage to the upper right corner in the front and it is now down to the wood. I don't know what happened. The California climate has kept this one corrosion free and extremely well preserved. I plugged both a Tele and a Strat into it, and it is definitely running on all eight cylinders. Very strong with lots of crunch and a blast to plug into. It really believe it is close to being the perfect bedroom and home studio amp. Handle, grill cloth, tweed, speaker, hardware, everything is original and extremely clean. If you have been searching for a really solid Fender Champ, grab this one.
