Guild Starfire 1V semi-hollow body guitar This is a super guitar, I bought it for a special project I have been working on, known it from new
and it has only been used in my practise studio or for recording in pro studios. I wanted at instrument that would give me that old time blues and Jazz tone and this has fitted the bill perfectly.
It is extremely well made, good vibe with standard classic design. After a pro set up and some of my favourite
Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 10’s it was really smooth to play and gave me all I needed and more. What do guild say Guild's Starfire IV semi-hollow body electric guitar brings you the graceful feel of the popular
Starfire model from the '60s, with a thin-line body style that's incredibly comfortable to play.
You get a feel that's closer to a standard electric guitar, but with the organic,
resonant tone you can only get from a semi-hollow body. The Starfire IV's tone is as distinct as its looks, with a pair of hum-cancelling
LB-1 "Little Bucker" pickups with their own tone and volume controls to fine-tune your sound. My view, I would say it’s all as stated and more, you really can get some super tones from this guitar
and it plays very well indeed. Very much in the Gibson 335 mould, I know because I have had several
of them over the 45 yrs I have been playing.
The Starting price is almost half that of a new one and I can tell you this would pass a new in a dealership
apart from the fact it is set up better than one you would get via most dealers.
Comes complete with Guild fitted Case. Heck of a guitar for this type of price!! Would make a fantastic Christmas Gift for friend love one or even yourself Prefer cash collect but will ship at buyers request after payment Good Luck Two URL’s to listen too for a real example of the tones available from this guitar
