Up for sale is a vintage Fender Jazz bass neck. Super rare Gold model; these were made in 1981-82. This one is a leftover from the 1970's with binding but black inlays. Great shape! It has some issues. One, the binding was repaired on upper side from fret 9-15. Cosmetic and definitely old binding and an old repair. Doesn't affect use. The back of the neck has hand wear which is slowly causing separation of the binding on the treble side. It is no significant issue and will take another 30 years of wear to cause an issue. Otherwise, neck looks original. Headstock has light nicks and checking as expected. Also a sticker. Back of the neck is pretty clean with a couple light nicks. Fretboard finish has some spots of wear and flaking - common for maple. Nothing heavy. Frets have no significant wear. Neck is straight, nut is good, truss rod works well. So some good cosmetic wear but normal stuff. If you're looking for one of these, likely won't find one again anytime soon. Date stamp indicates 1982.
