This attractive piece is a lightly used ESP Horizon III that we acquired in a trade. With neck-thru construction, Seymour Duncan pickups and and Ebony fretboard this guitar is a rocker's dream. Slick playability and sleek design make this instrument sound as good as it looks. This is a like-new guitar with just a light scratch along the left bout. We've buffed it out and it's very slight, but you can see it in certain light. This ESP Horizon III features:Alder body with Reindeer Blue finish, 7 poundsFlame Maple Top'Thin U' neck profile, 25.5" scale with 24 Xtra Jumbo frets12" radius and 1.65" nut widthEbony fretboardGotoh TOM bridgeSeymour Duncan SH-2 Neck PickupSeymour Duncan SH-14 Bridge PickupThree position pickup switchGlobal, volume and tone controlsPush/pull volume splits for both pickupsOriginal ESP hardshell caseList price: $2718This is the first ESP we've had in our shop and so far it's been a happy surprise. Manufactured in Japan, the Horizon series guitars are serious instruments with features like the flame maple top, bound body and neck, Seymour Duncan pickups, Ebony fretboard, etc. This guitar is clearly made for speedy rockers with it's flat radius, thin U shaped neck and slick ebony board, however it's sounds are quite universal. The Seymour Duncan humbuckers are beautifully articulate and in the split position sound rather Strat-like. The snappy response of the fretboard adds to the overall clarity, and the rock-solid bridge with neck-through construction produces a lot of resonance. While the natural habitat of this guitar is pounding out heavy riffs and searing solos, don't overlook it's ability to speak with clarity and nuance. Looks can be deceiving. Tested through our Mesa F-50 head and 1x12 Weber speaker cabinet, we were impressed with the Horizon's expansive vocabulary. Overall this is unique looking guitar that sounds and feels like a million bucks. If you are looking for a versatile instrument that can truly cover the spectrum of mellow to mean, don't pass this by.Orders received by 12:00EST will be shipped the next day.
