It has been professionally modified to mimic George Harrison's famous '64 SG! The previous owner purchased this instrument brand new and had it upgraded, but found the neck to be a tad too big for his taste. Played for approximately one hour and in STUNNING like-new condition! A new add-on 5-ply pickguard has been installed (a $46 value!). Very light, normal pick scratches on pickguard can be detected upon close inspection. The Derek Trucks signature truss rod cover has been replaced with a plain one, though the original is included (pic 8). The 57 Classic pickups that originally came with this guitar have been swapped out with amazing sounding boutique hand-wired passive pickups (pic 7)! The manufacturer is unknown, but they sounded so good in the previous owner's Les Paul, he had them installed in the SG! Normal scratches can be seen on pickups (pic 6). Looks, plays and sounds fantastic - a Beatles fan's dream guitar! The guitar you see is the one you will receive. We ask that you observe its pictures closely and invite you to contact us with any questions you may have!Pickup Output7.13k (neck)7.77k (bridge)Manufacturer's DescriptionThe Limited Run 50th Anniversary Derek Trucks SG Electric Guitar is made to exacting specs of Dereks main stage guitar, the body of the Derek Trucks SG is typical of the thin SG bodies from the mid 1960s, made from solid mahogany complete with traditional beveled edges and the distinct dual sharp cutaway horns that allow complete access to the guitars full 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The body is then finished in Heritage Cherry, which is very similar to the finish of his beloved 61 SG reissue. The hardware features a Tune-O-Matic bridge paired with a stopbar tailpiece, along with a chrome Lyre tailpiece.The guitars quartersawn mahogany neck is carved in a slim but rounded 1960s profile that measures .800" at the 1st fret and .895" at the 12th. It is glued into the body with Gibsons deep set-neck joint and topped with a Grade-A rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and vintage cream binding.
