DOYLE COILS TRU-CLONES PAF's & '59 HARNESS 1999 Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus 60’s Reissue w/Historic Vintage '59 Conversion R9 Mod This very special Les Paul guitar started its life off as a 1999 Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus 1960 Reissue with a spectacular AAAA Amber Maple Top. We saw so much potential in this amazing piece that we decided to kick it up a notch… well, a whole bunch of notches actually! The wood, luithership, construction, quality, and overall fit & finish on this guitar is as good as it gets ~ back then in the mid-90’s Gibson was making some of the best production guitars they ever made. So much so that they were directly competing with Custom Shop guitars! Players in the know call it the “Good Wood” era. The management and the marketing department put a quick stop to that - and dramatically decreased the quality level on the production Les Paul Classic soon after.So… we stripped this guitar of all its cheap hardware and electronics...down to nothing but the body and neck, and completely rebuilt her back up with all the very best Vintage Historic parts money can buy. Everything got upgraded… everything! Featuring our amazing Doyle Coils TRU-CLONES Humbuckers, this AAAA Premium Plus got the entire Vintage Aged ’59 Conversion treatment. New pickups, new 550K high audio taper pots, our paper-in-oil boutique caps, all new vintage braided pushback wire throughout (bye-bye cheap telephone wire), new switch, new jack, a vintage aged tone enhancing aluminum lightweight stoptail, the taller vintage Gibson Historic pickup rings, late 50's Vintage correct tophat knobs with pointers… on and on! All the nickel hardware has been aged to perfection by the way. This guitar is the Best of the Best… a Collector’s item to be sure - but even more importantly, a simply fantastic great playing and sounding guitar! This guitar started off pretty damn great… but we took it to a one-of-a-kind spectacular specimen of a Les Paul that cannot be rivaled. *Something to note: Another great thing about this piece is that if you love and lust after the ’59 Burst Les Paul but just can’t get your hands around that big chunky neck, then you’ll love this guitar because it is a 60’s Reissue and has a slimmer fast tapered neck. This 17+ year old guitar is NOT dead mint perfect… although she is very, very clean. There are a few small dings, and small paying scratches here and there. Overall, this piece is in amazing condition for a 17+ year old guitar! A good clean STOCK Premium Plus with a AAA Top or better goes for upwards of $2500 to $2800 just about everywhere. This guitar has all the major mods and upgrade valued at north of $800.00. Not to mention all the work, skill and bench time it took to build this magnificent piece …

This is a simply amazing guitar...
If you know about these guitars, then you know they are fantastic, very well made, sound great and are no longer made to these high Gibson Custom Shop specs. If you don't know then please do your research... This is NOT a garden variety Les Paul Classic... Also this is NOT the Newer Re-Release Version of the Les Paul Classic that are currently being sold at all the "Centers"... Those have nothing whatsoever to do with this model, so don't even compare... they are toys, frankly! A keen eye notices the following when looking for a Collectable Les Paul Classic 60's Reissue: Notice that the older and better made models have a different binding, have a better and more vintage spec Nitro finish, used the ABR1 Bridge NOT the big thick clunky Nashville Bridge, used much better, higher quality tone woods, came in the Classic Vintage Cali Girl Brown case with pink curtain, and DO NOT have the words 'MADE IN USA' pressed or inked into the back of the headstock... just to mention a few things to look out for. THIS IS ONE OF THE GREAT ONES - Made during the GOOD WOOD Era!!!! NOT TO MENTION THE UNIQUE AAAA FLAME MAPLE TOP... WEIGHS IN AT 9 Lbs. 8 Ozs... and is NOT Chambered or Weight Relieved
This 1999 Les Paul Classic PREMIUM PLUS 1960's Reissue is in VERY good condition and we upgraded everything! Hardly a mark on her... As clean as an 17+ year old guitar can be... This beautiful guitar spent most of its life in its case in a temperature controlled, smoke free environment and was lovingly played and always handled with care. She has a gorgeous AAAA Amber Burst Finish that really shows off its really amazing flames. A 17+ year old Les Paul Classic PREMIUM PLUS of this condition is hardy ever seen. This guitar plays and sounds amazing, is very collectable - and is becoming more so every day! The frets on this guitar appear as though they are brand new... absolutely no wear whatsoever.

The neck is perfectly straight and the action is fantastic... This amazing Les Paul just had a complete bench service and overhaul - a complete cleaning, fret dress, oiled fretboard, new strings, intonation, and precision set up by us - this guitar is set up as good as it gets... ooooh and the sound this baby makes - what a tone! Gibson makes a great Les Paul, but they really cheap out when it comes to the internal wiring and parts. Have you ever noticed that your volume and tone knobs don't do much after about 2 and then again only seem to do anything at around 9 or 10? Those knobs have 10 points on them for a reason... with our '59 Wiring Upgrade Mod Kit, now you can actually use them. There's all kinds of great tones living inside your favorite Les Paul... You just have to let them out. The possibilities are infinite!!!We took out all of that cheap "telephone wire" and installed heavy-duty Vintage braided push-back wire... the way it was done back in the 50's when quality actually counted for something. A Brand New HD Switchcraft toggle switch and jack give tight, high-fidelity connections to the whole rewire kit.Finally, talk about cheaping out... the 14 cent stock ceramic capacitors that are in your guitar now have got to come out. If those bean counters over at 'The Corporate Office' have their way, your guitar would sound like a clump of wet cardboard. Along with high-end, high quality pots and wiring, and our Doyle Coils tone enhancing paper-in-oil .022caps, this upgrade makes all the difference in the world to the tone of your guitar. When you dial back on the tone knobs your sound will become creamy, smooth, liquid, flavorful... until you back them almost all the way off for that famous 'woman tone'.There's all kinds of great sounds and tone waiting inside of your Les Paul guitar...
