You are bidding on a fully upgraded Made in Mexico (MIM) Charvel Pro Mod "San Dimas" guitar that began originally as a string-thru-body hardtail model from Charvel. The original Charvel Pro Mod strat guitar was modified and upgraded to demonstrate how GMW can convert/upgrade a stock hardtail and solid color guitar to a near Charvel Custom Shop model by installing a New Old Stock (NOS) 1980's vintage all brass Charvel vintage trem, which includes the period correct "straight" trem arm with a solid brass tip. To further compliment the finished guitar, a GMW single layer hot rod flame graphic was applied before a new set of solid creme DiMarzio Super Distortion and Virtual Vintage Heavy Blues II pickups were installed during the final reassembly work. Final appointments include new 17 mm Jackson strap buttons, a new gold football side jack plate, a new 500K CTS solid shaft volume pot, a NOS solid brass volume knob, a set of new aluminum black anodized spring and control cavity plates, and a new gold Jackson 3-way pickup selector switch. The initial guitar began with a Charvel string-thru-body with hardtail bridge, and NOT the bent plate standard trem version shown in this listing. By the time the work was completed, this finished guitar easily meets the standards of a Custom Shop Charvel except for the factory fret mill and dress work, which was performed elsewhere by Charvel. Therefore, no additional work was performed on the frets or rosewood fingerboard by GMW besides being cleaned. We no longer need this sample guitar for advertising purposes, so it is being listed for sale. The guitar has NOT been used or played since being finished and photographed. Therefore, there are no dings or scratches in the paint or neck. To more easily summarize the work performed on this guitar, the following routing and refinishing work was performed first on the original Pro Mod guitar. A second chart below then lists the new or NOS parts used to complete this superb guitar. A final Spec Sheet follows at the conclusion of the listing, which includes a description for the new components used to complete the final project. A black gig bag is included with this guitar.
