This is a very rare guitar. Was made only 2006-2007. One year only. The Goddess was marketed mainly to women because of it's slender body and lighter weight compared to the standard SG's we see today. They have great style. Gibson Goddess Sg has special slim mahogany SG body, narrow-nut, slim taper, ‘60s-style neck; Madagascar heather ebony fretboard; Translucent 490R & 498T humbuckers. The new solidbody guitar of the '60s, the Gibson SG guitar, broke through traditional concepts of solid body electric guitars and became an instant classic. This body style has remained in production and has been going strong since its first appearance in 1961. These guitars have represented the combination of looks, functionality and value that is the hallmark of the SG series. I have had 3 Gibson SG's over the years. This one is probably my favorite.
