DescriptionThis is a 2009 USA Gibson Studio with some major custom upgrades that take it to another level of cool, including the correct Gold Top Nitro finish.  The original Gold Top powder first used by Gibson in 1952 was a fine bronze powder as opposed to mica powder, and will show a slight green iridescence as do original Les Paul's they are when viewed at an angle.  You can see that hint of green in the 4th picture.  The top was professionally done in this correct Gold Top Nitro and then aged to perfection to look like a true vintage Les Paul.  But unlike a vintage or Custom Shop Gold Top, you won't need to sell a kidney to own it.The pickups were pro upgraded to Duncan Hotrodded Humbuckers with Triple Shot mounting rings, as well as aged Seymour Duncan covers.  The tone is very versatile with the Triple Shot system.  There are switches in the pickup mounting ring that lets you to split the coils, go series and parallel, etc.  You can get single coil tones from these pickups without push-pull pots.  All the work was professionally done and it's as good a factory.  There are pictures that show the pickups without the covers, and the amber knobs are also included.  You can remove the covers if you like, but they add so much to the vibe of the guitar.The frets are in fantastic shape and have very little wear, and the neck is straight and true and the back of the neck is smooth, not sticky or tacky.  I have played this guitar weekly without fail.  It's light weight (8 pounds, 3 ounces), looks great and has tone to spare.It's everything you'd expect from a USA made Gibson Les Paul.  It's a stellar guitar, and a great player without any breaks or issues.  It's a professional grade guitar that just needs a new home.  It comes with the Road Runner case shown.
