I am selling this Gretsch duo pickup (double pickup, twin pickup), solid body guitar for my 82 year old dad. He received this as a birthday gift from my mom in the early 80's; it was preowned when he received it. Thanks to a kind collector, we have updated this description with more specific information. It is a BST-1500 model, called The Beast. It was only made from 1979-1981. Dad states that it "plays smoothly, frets easily, and sounds great." It has a solid mahogany body and 2 piece maple neck. It has a few light scratches on the back of the body and a small nick and rough spot on the bottom right edge. Otherwise, it is in very good condition! (see pics. Note: some pics have "spots" that are just reflections / glare from the high gloss surface of the guitar; look closely for actual blemishes) This auction includes the Gretsch hard case seen in the pictures; it is in good condition, too.
