Up for sale is this genuine, Fender "STRAT" neck, made at the long-shuttered Fender Fullerton plant.
It is in NEAR-MINT shape.
THE SPECS:* Maple C-profile neck with maple fretboard
* Vintage-style truss rod adjuster at neck end
* 21 Medium frets
* 25.5” scale length
* 7.25" neck radius
* 1+ 5/8" (40 mm) wide nut
* Neck depth of 20 mm @ fret 2 and 22.3 mm at fret 12
* Neck end width is 2 + 3/16" (55.2 mm)
* 10mm diameter tuner holes, with holes for 2-pin mounts
* 4-bolt neck mount system
* Made in USA quality Condition:
Near-mint! This very rare neck, pulled from a 1981 "STRAT", was only made in limited quantities from 1980-1982. It has seen very little playing time in its 36 years. If you are at all familiar with this model you probably already know that the vast majority of "STRAT" necks have damage to the nitro finish on the headstock. Not this neck! All of the headstock paint is free of dings or peeling, and the original Fender logo is 100% intact. The headstock's serial number has been edited out for this listing to keep scammers away, but is present in its entirety on the headstock. The neck's original nut is still in great shape, and the truss rod turns perfectly - a little tight, but not too tight.
As for the frets, fret wear is minimal - I can't see any fret wear at all!. Fretboard wear is also nearly non-existent. There are no dings, dents or scrapes on the neck anywhere - NONE! The neck's profile is a "C" shape. There is no date code on the heel of the neck.
