Fender Pink Paisley Telecaster Maple Neck Guitar with Fender Gig Bag I don’t know much about guitar collecting but am trying to explain this Pink Paisley to the best of my ability and research. Please ask any questions and do your research before bidding.  It seems this is a 69 reissue with a solid maple neck. The serial number makes me believe it was made in 1975 but was told by one that it was probably 1997.  The serial number on the bridge is A013095, the # on the body with the neck removed is E69-75, and the back of the neck # is DLT69-75.  The guitar has been in storage for quite some time.  The action is very close and plays easily.  I plugged it into my amp last night and everything seems to work, volume controls were a little scratchy as was the 5 position switch.  Rotated them a few times and that seemed to go away, flipped the switch multiple time and it cleaned up.  Plugged it in again tonight and the volume controls produced no noise, the switch still seemed a little scratchy.  Flipping the switch made that better although it might require some contact cleaner.  I don’t want to mess with it in order to leave it as original as I found it.  I’m told the middle pickup [most likely a DiMarzio] was added and a new pick guard was installed to accommodate it.  I was also told some guys liked the added center pickup making it a cross between a Strat and a Telecaster [don’t know for sure if that’s true].  I hope the pictures will tell you a lot about the basic condition and will explain the biggest flaws I see next.  Some of the pictures were taken outside and reflect the trees and garage behind me.  That make it look like the finish is stained, it is not.  It is a beautiful guitar and I hate to sell it but need to clean house.  I do have more pictures if you can’t see what you need.  Please only ask for more pics if you are watching the guitar.  I may not include pictures of the gig bag but it’s just a standard Fender Gig Bag in decent condition. Flaws:  Small dent in neck pickup, small scratch on cutaway, bolt on neck plate probably scratched by belt buckle, varnish on neck at E chord position is worn, and a small ding on the side shown in picture.  The biggest issue to collectors might be the modification to add the center pickup.  Whoever owned this had that center pickup raised all the way to the 1st string and the rubber hose they used to space the pickup from the pick guard has rotted and has it stuck in that position.  That may need to be fixed with new hose or a spring for your use and should be simple to do. I’m going to require a signature for delivery since it is a higher ticket item my normal garage sale listings.  Please be sure to have shipped to a PayPal confirmed address where a signature can be acquired or be prepared to go pick it up.  Shipping:  I do not have a box to ship this in yet so I am estimating on a 46”x20”x7” carefully packed insured box weighing 19lbs.  I may modify the shipping cost if I can find smaller safe packaging.  Please ask questions before bidding.  Contact within 3 days of end of auction and payment within 7 or I reserve the right to relist.
