Description

1937 5.5"x14" single ply Leedy Broadway Parallel classic American snare drum in green/gold Duco. Very original condition with original snares and calf skin heads. One of the best condition Duco finishes I've seen with minimal chipping. Note that one of the slotted receivers that holds the parallel link bar has partly broken and came to me like this. I have affected a temp repair and the drum is perfectly playable although I have not played it to any great extent due to not wanting to damage the heads. It has the original nickel plated brass hoops and the drum has been completely stripped and cleaned. There is one snare wire missing and a small tear in the resonant head. The drum is fitted with an electric heater, likely from the 1930s which was common practice to prevent the calf heads losing tension from humidity. Please ask any questions. These drums are relatively hard to find in this condition.
