Description
Brand: Ibanez String Configuration: 6 String
Model: JEM

1987 Ibanez JEM777 SK (Shocking Pink), made in Japan in excellent/near mint condition. This is the first year of production for the JEM and it the guitar has the typical charactistics including more rounded body contours like the LNG (more rounded/less sharp around the edges compared to later JEM and RG's. Shocking pink is a very desirable color and was only produced for a couple of years as some were prone to fading. This guitar is very vibrant and shows no signs of fading that i can see, which is very rare. The body is near perfect with no chips or dings anywhere on the guitar. The headstock is also perfect with no chips or damage to the logo. I also took photos of the guitar disassembled so all cavities could be seen, as well as the neck pocket, under the pickguard, electronics, etc....as these areas are the best way to verify authenticity and ensure no repaint or replaced parts, etc. There are no neck pocket cracks and no crack behind the locking nut. The frets show no indentations. I listed this as "excellent" condition and describe it as "near mint" as opposed to "mint" because it is almost 30 years old and has been played; but very carefully as evident in the pictures. There are pickguard swirls from being played and also signs of play/wear on the maple fretboard. The cosmo finish on the hardware does show some wear which is common for cosmo hardware of this age, but nothing too bad. There are also a few very light scratches on the back but you really have to be looking for them and near impossible to photograph. The guitar comes with it's tremolo arm, Ibanez UV1000C case and original warranty card with matching serial number.
While i've tried my best to describe the guitar and take photos from as many angles as possible, please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need additional information or pictures. While this is an extremely clean and rare original guitar it is 30 years old so i want to make sure the buyer is happy so please don't hesitate to reach out with questions.  The guitar will be packed well and fully insured. I usually ship within a couple of days after receiving payment.  International buyers are welcome but please inquire about shipping costs as they will vary. The international rate i put on the listing is just a placeholder and rough estimate. Best offer option is enabled on the auction so please feel free to send me an offer. I do have the guitar listed elsewhere and reserve the right to end the auction early if i get a good offer on the guitar here or elsewhere. I will respond to all offers and inquiries. Thanks for looking.
