2007 FENDER VG STRATOCASTER Original Model With Hard To Find Rosewood Fretboard

Used original USA built Fender VG Stratocaster. I'm the original owner. Never gigged & played very little over the years. It does have some signs of wear such as swirls in the finish front and back of the body as you could expect from a used guitar. You can see some of them in the closeups of the front. The bubbly-looking wrinkles in the closeups are from the factory plastic pick guard cover that was never removed. I just left it on it. There are underlying wood lines under the finish. There are some very thin-like scratches here and there but they are not big deep scratches. I guess you would describe them as buckle rash. There is a scratch on a plastic component on the back that isn't real bad. Overall what you would expect from a used guitar (not perfect but not a disaster either). The raised eagle sticker was put on the guitar by me as I thought it added to it's appeal, but it can easily be removed if so desired. It has 22 medium jumbo frets, a maple neck & the rarer rosewood fingerboard. It has an alder body with a polyurethane finish. The bridge is a american 2-point synchronized tremolo with stainless steel saddles. The pickups are 3 American Strat single-coil pickups which is the same as every regular Strat, but here is something different. It has 1 Roland VG pickup which is battery powered which doesn't draw its power from the amp. Fender Deluxe Staggered Cast/Sealed Tuning Machines for the machine head. The guitar comes with an original Fender hard shell case which also has some scuffs on it here and there (again what to expect from a slightly used product). The neck and head stock are in great shape with no chips as is the fretboard.The VG offers 37 different guitar sounds from a single instrument.That's the idea behind the Fender VG Strat®: a single, incredibly versatile instrument that delivers 37 serious Stratocaster®, Telecaster, humbucking, 12-string, and acoustic sounds, plus five alternate tunings, all at the simple flip of a switch or the twist of a knob - and all in the gracefully familiar form of the Stratocaster®.
First and foremost, it's a real Strat and it is the USA made model.
The VG Strat® features that classic sleek, contoured body shape, three American Series single-coil pickups with 5-position switching, a maple neck & rosewood fingerboard, a synchronized tremolo bridge, a 3-ply parchment pickguard, and chrome hardware. But two additional knobs on the VG Strat's pickguard - plus a small LED and an inconspicuous Roland GK bridge pickup - bring with them some new magic. These two knobs, a Mode Control knob and a Tuning Function knob, serve up incredible and seemingly endless new sonic possibilities.

The Mode Control knob governs five distinct modeling modes: Normal, Modeled Stratocaster, Telecaster, Humbucking Pickups, and acoustic. In Normal mode, the VG Strat's three single-coil pickups bypass the VG circuit, for a straight Stratocaster guitar sound.
Tuning Function knob provides five alternate tunings
The Tuning Function knob lets you choose among five alternate tunings: Normal, Drop D, Open G, D Modal, and Baritone, plus a 12-string sound. And since you don't have to turn a single tuning key, a major benefit of all these instant tuning changes is that the string tension remains the same and the VG Strat itself feels the same.
Balanced tone and volume across all models and tunings
Even better, the VG Stratocaster delivers level, balanced tone and volume across all these remarkable functions, so that you don't need to continually readjust amp settings with each change in guitar sound.
A remarkably simple and versatile guitar
Fender knew that keeping the VG Stratocaster simple and intuitively useful was the way to go. So they kept it pared down to the essentials, making it easy to pick up and play. So even though the VG Strat is a technological marvel, you don't need a thick owner's manual to get started making great music!
