What makes this guitar special: A magnificent, true vintage beauty with superb feel & tone. A dynamite player with an ultra cool vibe & natural good looks, this gorgeous ES-355 Mono is a tough one to put down. In great shape overall with moderate play wear. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts at Cream City Music so she's ready to play straight out of the case. Cosmetic Condition: Really great shape for its age with some nice light aging & moderate play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some light finish wear. The gold was removed from the hardware by the previous owner, but you can still detect light remnants of it here & there. The celluloid pickguard has deteriorated in a couple of spots, but for the most part is still pretty solid. Overall the guitar has a wonderful look to it with a beautiful patina.Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl block inlays. Original frets are in great shape with some mild wear & plenty of life in them. Multi-bound headstock with mother of pearl split diamond inlay & Gibson logo. The original Kluson tuners were replaced with Grover Imperials, which are all in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.Body: Double-cutaway, semi-hollow maple body. 7-ply bound top with dual F-holes. Maestro tremolo tailpiece with Gibson & lyre engravings. Period-correct ABR-1 bridge with adjustable saddles. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding & 3-ply bound back. Guitar weighs 8 lbs 13 oz.Pickups: Original Gibson Pat No. humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 7.28K ohms; Neck - 7.32K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included. The case is actually a '60s Epiphone hardshell case, perhaps for a Sheraton or Riviera.
