Up For Sale Here Is Ibanez LR10 Lee Ritenour made in 1980 in Japan. Serial number L805023. Same owner for the past 25 years. A rare signature model by Ibanez crafted in Japan, the LR10 Lee Ritenour ES335 style guitar (with just a little smaller body) is from the top-of-the-line platform flagship for Ibanez in their signature line of guitars. Other guitars in this series were the Joe Pass JP20, the John Scofield JSM100, the Pat Metheny PM100, and the George Benson GB10 and GB20 models. This model has a beautiful vintage violin nitrocellulose lacquer sunburst finish and the body is all highly figured maple, ivoroid cream-black-cream bound top and back, bound fingerboard with Brazilian Rosewood fretboard (stated on the specifications for this model although it looks more like Indian rosewood) with vivid abalone dot inlays, the original brass nut is still perfect and in place (great sustain and never breaks or wears out). Original highly prized 58 "Z" humbucking PAF pickups which are the best Japanese PAF's, Ibanez tune-a-matic-style bridge and Gibraltar II tailpiece, b-w-b-w beveled pickguard. Body -length: 1055mm (41.5"), width: 405mm (16"), depth: 65mm (2.5"), neck: setin, scale: 24.75", nut: 43mm wide, width at 22nd fret: 57mm, radius: 300mm (~12"), number of frets: 22, neck binding: Cream colored. Three-way toggle switch, two tone and two volume controls with original gold knobs with rubber grips. In very original condition with several touched-up black spots on the edges of the headstock, one in the upper horn on the face, two chips in the finish on both sides of the lower “f” hole, one small touched up ding on the back lower horn (see closeup photos). A little wear in the first three frets (see closeup photo), with very minimal wear on any of the remaining frets or the fretboard. No back belt-buckle “rash”, very clean back of the neck. Fresh strings and setup-intonations are perfect! Comes with an excellent perfect-fit TKL hardshell case. We have read that some of the LR10 guitars left the factory with foam inserts inside the body (probably to cut down on feedback, although we have played this one with no feedback issues since it has a center block like the Gibson ES335). The foam and plastic insert is still in the lower “f” hole but clear in the upper section.
