1994 Robert Ehlers Model 15 acoustic guitar, excellent condition, gorgeous custom instrument built by one of the great American builders of the last 30 years. Ehlers died several years ago after crafting several hundred guitars at his shops in Portland, OR and Mexico. They remain highly sought after for their tone & beauty. This one features Euro spruce top, solid E. Indian Rosewood back & sides, lovely flamed koa body binding. 14 frets, 1 3/4" @ nut, standard scale. Ebony bridge & fretboard, bone nut & comp saddle, pretty green abalone or paua shell rosette, abalone mini-markers. Gold Schaller tuners w/ ebony buttons, ebony headstock veneer front & back, MOP Ehlers logo. Really primo condition for its age, it has been very well-taken care-of. There are 2 or 3 finish dings to the top lacquer, not very noticeable, and a bit of faint fingernail swirls below soundhole; back & sides are very clean. Light fret wear. The neck is straight and there is no lifting of the bridge, nor any finish crazing/cracking to the top finish. All is tight. This is a wonderful fingerstyle guitar, action is low & the low-profile neck very comfy. This is a really great example of Ehlers' artistry in luthiery. With original hard case in good shape.
