1976 Telesforo Julve 1AIncludes Original Hard Case Old Pitch pipe tunerand Provenance (original receipt from Manuel Contreras)
Telesforo Julve is a very important person in the guitar making history in Valencia.  He is the nephew of Andres Marin and a lot of famous master luthiers worked in his workshop.  Amongst them is Ricardo Sanchis Nacher  and Vicente Tatay.  In 1931 he has taken over the workshop of Salvador Ibanez e Hijos which brought some of the best luthiers along with the business.
Here is a rare chance to acquire a 40 year old Telesforo Julve 1A which will be an excellent addition to any classical guitar collection. It comes with an original receipt from the Manuel Contreras shop as provenance.  It is in excellent condition considering its age.  As you can see from the receipt, the guitar was bought from the Contreras shop at Calle Mayor Madrid, in October 1976 and the total amount paid including the case is 20,295 Pesetas? or 196 Pound Sterling.Apart from the monetary value of this rare guitar, its sound is also wonderful! Click the links below to listen to it being demoed by my son below (please turn the volume up):
Birds Flew Over the Spire (Trinity grade 5) -
Swing Thing (Trinity Grade 5, Classical Jazz) -
There seems to be a hairline split near the sound hole by the neck and I've been advised not to worry about it when I took it to the London Guitar Studio in central London.  I've been told "It is a forty year old guitar and it's normal". - see 4th photo below. There are the typical finishing scratches at the back and sides which can easily be polished off by a professional and a couple of "string dings" near the bridge (b string) and one by the lower bout near the binding.   Apart from those, the guitar is in excellent structural and aesthetic condition and plays beautifully as you can see from the detailed photos below this listing and the video demo. For queries/offers 07525 363 975Detailed Photos:
