57 years ago the original Les Paul Standard #9 0679 was born in Kalamazoo, Mi. It soon found its way to Europe where it played countless gigs for the next 40 years before its new owner found it, fell in love with its tone and beauty, and ultimately brought it home to the USA.
"Danger Burst" has quite a story to tell. A Bigsby removed, a strap button relocated then returned, and the scars of 100's of gigs over the decades. What hasn't changed is the iconic beauty and legendary tone that set this Burst apart from the others.This is Gibson Custom Shops #002 in this very limited run of these extraordinary hand crafted collector "Danger Burst" replica's.

If you put the Original 1959 Les Paul Standard #9 0676 in a glass case in a gallery surrounded by fine works of art, it would look completely in place.

Solid mahogany body with two piece flamed maple top finished in a perfectly faded Burst, rosewood fretboard, aged period correct hardware. Custom Bucker pickups and hide glued long tenon neck and top.
As expected, the guitar plays like a dream with exceptional resonance and sustain. Soaring highs, warm and woody mids, and very articulate bottom. Bends beautifully up and down the entire length of the neck. Simply amazing!Weight 8 lbs. 6 oz.
Comes with the heavily aged custom case, COA, and all hang tags.
