1967 Kent 742 Electric Guitar w/ Ric Case Sunburst NICE

This is an original issue, 1967 Kent 742....The flagship of it's line in '67, featuring the exclusive to Kent "Racing Stripe" inlay bindings. This one looks like a veritable CLOSET QUEEN, with the only appreciable wear showing is a rash around the rear lower bout area from sliding around in the original chipboard case. Original electronics are clean and crisp, all original chrome is beautiful with only slight aging showing....No rusty parts, no grunge or dirt to deal with..... This has apparently spent most of it's life in it's case, and it's RARE, RARE, RARE, and especially in a beautiful playable condition like this. FLAMED Maple Sunburst....Original vibrato system works great....Original knobs....All switches work, and this guitar has amazing tones from the 60's. We've added a custom cut brass nut for incredible sustain, fully dressed for LOW fingering, the fretboard has been leveled-crowned-polished for ease of playing all the way to the octave....NO KIDDING.... You can PLAY this guitar RIGHT OUT OF THE CASE....No adjustments necessary, and it's LOW and smooth. Be warned however, that this is a narrow neck like the Ric's. This piece was SO good, we custom designed a Rickenbacker 381 case (vintage reissue, from B stock we had in the shop...stressed top, but beautiful silver tolex...brand new)....The case is now tightly form-fit to the Kent 742 (and/or 740, 741's also) and protects the guitar for generations to come. A FULL reprint of the original 1967 Kent catalog is included, and the guitar is strung with .009 "Hybrid" (.009-.046) stainless strings ....fresh and ready to play. You're not going to find another one of these in this condition....we LOOK for these models regularly, and have had only 3 in the shop over a 10 year period.....This one beats them all.
