This is a long but accurate description of this guitar so please read the entire add as I will not accept returns. Here is a vintage 1981 Gibson Sonex 180 Custom with a Candy Apple Red finish in overall good condition and features the Tim Shaw Pat. No. 2,737,842 'Dirty Fingers' pickups and the mini coil tap toggle switch that came with the Sonex Custom & Standard models. It includes a three-position pick-up selector switch, Tune-0-Matic Bridge', stop bar tailpiece and 2 volume / 2tone control knobs. It includes the original Gibson hard shell case which is in very good functioning condition but the vinyl is peeling in many areas, (mostly on the bottom). This guitar is in good overall condition with bumps, rash, dings and scratches from use. (please use the close up feature on all pictures, I’ve tried to show any dings, chips etc and they are part of the item description). All electronics are original and function as intended. It’s been a player so the frets show use but still have life on them. The back of the neck looks as though it was sanded smooth to help play faster, (feels like a satin finish now). Pickups measured on the 20k setting of ohm meter; Humbuckers: Neck = 15.12 ohms / Bridge = 15.26 ohms / Both/Middle Position = 7.6 ohms Coils Split: Neck = 7.68 ohms / Bridge = 7.86 ohms / Both/Middle Position = 3.88 ohms Message me if you have any questions or need more pics or text @ 805 464 1870 I’ve done my best to show the imperfections on this guitar so please read entire add as I will not accept returns.
