Very Rare Albert Collins Reissue Fender Japan U-Serial MIJ (2010) Ash/Maple Telecaster TL66Very clean collectors condition Fender Albert Collins RI Telecaster. She's a MIJ U-Serial (2010) Ash/Maple TL66B. This from a super limited Fender Japan only run. Production has long since finished and they were domestic only, never made for export outside of Japan. She's a real beauty with some great ash grain all over the body and nice maple grain over the neck. As far as I'm aware this is the only fully bound Ash Telecaster with a maple neck Fender Japan ever built. The '62 reissues (TL62B) were all built with alder bodies. Anyway back to the Iceman. She has a bitey USA made Texas Special in the bridge and a warm, smooth jazzy sounding Dragster humbucker in the neck. Both sound great, but the middle position it is pure Albert Collins! Plays like a dream. She is 100% factory specced with 3-ply white scratchplate, 6 saddles and Fender stamped neck plate. No issues whatsoever, the neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and frets like new. Like I said she is pretty much shop floor condition. Comes with padded U-Box gig bag. As great a guitar as the £4k Fender custom shop edition.
